The first—and most important—step is to download the Publix app or create an account on Publix.com. Having an account allows you to clip Publix Digital Coupons, view the weekly ad for your local store, and take advantage of personalized offers.
Know When Your Weekly Ad Starts
Publix weekly ads begin on Wednesday in some areas and Thursday in others.
To find your store’s ad schedule:
-
Open the Publix app and sign in to your account.
-
At the top of the screen, you’ll see your selected store.
-
Tap on your store to confirm you’re shopping at the correct location and to view your local weekly ad.
Click on the store to change it, if this is not the store you shop.
Once you have chosen your store you will see the Weekly Ad dates for your store.
Check the start date; if yours falls on a Wednesday, your sale will always begin on Wednesdays.
If yours is a Thursday, your sale will always begin on Thursdays.
The Publix sales are the same in all regions; the only difference is the start date.
Digital Coupons are savings offered by the product manufacturer. They are a manufacturer’s coupon which means the store gets reimbursed from the company when you use it at the store.
Open the app and clip your digital coupons by tapping the clip box
I do this every morning, and I highly recommend making it part of your routine.
Publix digital coupons can disappear if they are left unclipped. Manufacturers often limit the total number of times a digital coupon can be clipped, and once that limit is reached, the coupon may be removed from the app before its expiration date.
The good news is that once you clip a digital coupon, it remains in your account until it expires, even if it is no longer available for others to clip.
The first time you do this, it can take a little while because you’ll want to clip every available digital coupon. Unfortunately, there isn’t a “Clip All” button, so you’ll need to clip them individually. After that initial setup, you’ll only need to clip the new coupons that are added.
Once you’ve clipped all the available coupons, checking for new ones is easy. The next time you open the Publix app, use the filter at the top of the Digital Coupons page to display only Unclipped coupons, by filtering to ” newest”. See video below
Now that you’ve clipped all of your digital coupons, it’s time to start using them!
Digital coupons are issued by the manufacturer, and the Publix app makes it easy to see which products qualify. Simply open the coupon or scan a product’s barcode in the app, and it will tell you whether that digital coupon will apply to the item you’re purchasing.
The video below shows you how to scan a product in the Publix app to verify that a digital coupon is valid for that item.
Once you pick up your item and verify the coupon will work on it, you take it to the register ( both a regular or self check out) and enter your phone number in the POS system after the items are scanned
Once you or the cashier hit the pay button the digital coupons will automatically deduct.
That’s it you are now a Publix digital coupon expert!
FAQ
Digital coupons can not be stacked with other manufacturer coupons on the same items. For example, if you are in store and see a tearpad coupon in front of a product and use it, the digital coupon will not deduct.
Most digital manufacturer coupons can only be used once. So if you buy 5 of the same item, the digital will only deduct one time.
Each week, before the sale begins, our site, My Couponing Buddy, releases the Publix Best Weekly Deals, these are usually posted on the Tuesday before the sale begins. Depending on the region you live how Publix sales ring up is different. In true BOGO states, all of Florida, the register rings up the BOGO sale items as buying one and getting one free. The first item rings up full price and the second zero and you must buy 2 items to take advantage of the BOGO sale price. In other areas, (we call these areas Half BOGO) the register rings up the BOGO sale items at half price. This can work drastically in your favor or not, in some situations, so it’s important to know which way your Publix handles a BOGO sale
Florida now is the only True BOGO area so if you see a distinction in the breakdown for TRUE BOGO or Half BOGO areas, and you live in Florida you follow the True BOGO breakdown.
Half BOGO all other states. In half BOGO you only have to buy one item and it rings up at half price.
Publix sometimes offers 10 for $10 sales or 5 for $5 sales, these types of sales you do not need to purchase 10 to get the sale price. Publix allow you to only purchase one for $1.
Auto Deduct sales: Auto deduct sales automatically deduct at the checkout.
Example: $3 /3 auto deduct: You must buy three in order to get the $3 off automatically during check out. The $3 will come off automatically once they ring up the third included item.
